Fashion in Dubai and the Middle East is a growing industry. There are so many up and coming designers, it's a really exciting region for anyone involved. Whatsmore, we are slowly seeing more magazines, more photographers, more models and more bloggers, all interested in this new and booming part of the world.

Until the past few years, there was a great lack of cute boutiques here that sold individual products. Don't get me wrong, it's often hard to beat the high-street, but when you're searching for a unique gift for a friend, or that crowd-stopping necklace, Dubai has had its limitations, until recently!

Just a few weeks ago, I stumbled upon the O Concept boutique in Jumeirah, opposite the Palm Strip Mall, which I instantly knew I'd love to feature on the blog. Set in a retro, warehouse-like showroom, this store showcases a variety of unique designers, bringing together talent in the area. In fact, it features both local and international designers, illustrating how cosmopolitan the UAE truly is. And the best thing is that it's not only a boutique, but also a coffee shop, offering the perfect opportunity for a quick meander after your girlie weekend catchup!

The boutique brings light to a wide range of designers from all over the world, whether they specialise in jewellery or even hand-painted furniture. And the layout of the store is so well-done that you never feel like you've seen everything - it's like a little Aladdin's cave!

My favourite piece in the boutique was the purple jacket featured in a couple of photos below. The jacket, created by a Qatari designer, is so interesting and unique to the region as the print is that of the skyline of Doha. Would love to get my hands on one! Princess Accessories, by Iranian designer and buyer Mahsa, also caught my eye. I absolutely love gold jewellery and I'm pleased to tell you I'll be featuring her pieces in my next post :) Watch this space!

So, if you'd like somewhere different to have your weekend coffee, head down to the O Concept - you don't know what you might find!
